I am very picky when it comes to jeans and I typically buy expensive brands because of the quality and fit. I am 5'4 130 and I originally tried the 28 (my normal size is 28/29), but sized down to a 27. They are not high rise on me, more of a mid rise, right under my navel with a straight leg and not skin tight. The wash is light to medium with no holes, but nice distressing. They do have stretch, but the fabric is thick and sturdy. I love the length which is slightly cropped on me and not as short as pictured on the model. They are better in person. I do wish they had rivets at the pockets, but for $52, they're amazing.
